“The Jennifer Hudson Show” is returning for its fourth season, set to premiere on Monday, Sept. 15.

The upcoming season will “continue to embrace and engage its devoted audience, delivering daily inspiration and creating a joyful space where viewers can “Feel the Love” — a message brought to life in every episode through Jennifer’s authentic voice.” The Jennifer Hudson Show will also bring back the “Spirit Tunnel,” which recently earned the talk show its first Webby and Shorty Awards.

'The Jennifer Hudson Show' Pushes Back Return Amid Writers Strike

The new season will continue to bring celebrity guests, online trends, and the latest pop culture news. Previously, “The Jennifer Hudson Show” has welcomed a lineup of guests that includes former First Lady Michelle Obama, Demi Moore, Angela Bassett, Mikey Madison, and Tina Knowles. The show has also spotlighted the cast of “No Good Deed,” featuring Ray Romano, Lisa Kudrow, and Luke Wilson, the ensemble of “The Six Triple Eight” and the cast of “G20” with Viola Davis.

The series has featured musicians such as Gwen Stefani, John Legend, Keith Urban, SZA, and Jelly Roll.

“The Jennifer Hudson Show” is produced by JHud Productions and Telepictures, a Warner Bros. Television Group company. Here’s a look at this season’s key art:

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for the third season of “Invasion,” the sci-fi drama series from Academy Award-nominated and two-time Emmy Award-nominated producer Simon Kinberg and David Weil. The 10-episode season will return on Friday, Aug. 22 on Apple TV+ with one episode, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday through Oct. 24.

“Invasion” follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. As the ultimate apex aliens have finally emerged, it will take all our heroes working together, using all their experience and expertise to save humanity. New relationships are formed, old relationships are challenged and even shattered, as an international cast of characters must become a team before it’s too late. Season 3 will follow as these perspectives collide for the first time on a critical mission to infiltrate the alien mothership.

The third season of “Invasion” stars returning cast members Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Shane Zaza and Enver Gjokaj, and introduces new series regular Erika Alexander.

The series is created by Kinberg and Weil, who also serve as executive producers alongside Audrey Chon, David Witz, Alik Sakharov, Dan Dietz, Katie O’Connell Marsh and Nick Nantell. The first and second seasons of “Invasion” are streaming globally on Apple TV+.

AMC Networks’ Acorn TV and German public television broadcaster ZDF have greenlit a fourth season of the original British crime drama series “The Chelsea Detective.”

Developed at production company Expectation, “The Chelsea Detective’s” fourth season will see the return of Detectives Max Arnold (Adrian Scarborough) and Layla Walsh (Vanessa Emme) as they investigate crimes in London’s elite Chelsea neighborhood. Season 4 promises four new murders in the neighborhood, which Max and Layla will track to uncover webs of corruption and deceit across Britain’s uppermost echelon.

Alongside Scarborough and Walsh, series regulars Sophie Stone, Lucy Phelps, Peter Bankolé and Frances Barber all return to their roles in the Season 4 to help—or sometimes hinder—the heroes in their quest for answers and justice.

The Acorn TV audience is sure to be titillated this season by the slew of baffling new cases in and around Chelsea.”

“The Chelsea Detective’s” fourth season will run for four episodes, each 90 minutes long. Production has commenced in London, and the new season will be available to stream on Acorn TV in 2026.

ABC Localish series “The Advocate with Sonia Baghdady” has been greenlit for nationwide broadcast syndication across major networks. It will begin airing on Fox, Nexstar, CBS, ABC, Hearst, Tegna, Scripps, Weigel and Hubbard among other networks starting the week of Sep. 6.

The lifestyle variety series, hosted by Baghdady, includes inspirational interviews with celebrities and average citizens alike to share stories focusing on health, wellness, and hope. Produced by equalpride studios and distributed by Sewee Entertainment, “The Advocate with Sonia Baghdady” initially launched in 2024 and won a 2025 Telly Award for its episode “Nowhere to Go.”

Regarding the greenlight for syndication, equalpride CEO Mark Berryhill states, “The voices that have been amplified due to this show’s intelligent and thoughtful storytelling have exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t be more proud to bring this to a broader audience. Our vision was to create a space in weekend programming that leaves people feeling hopeful, inspired, and informed.”

Sky and STARZ have announced that Tamsin Greig (“Riot Women,” “Friday Night Dinner”) and Rish Shah (“Overcompensating,” “Joy”) will be joining Season 2 of “Sweetpea.”

Season 2 of “Sweetpea” will follow Rhiannon Lewis (Ella Purnell) after murdering her boyfriend, AJ in the Season 1 finale. As Rhiannon is navigating her new promotion at work, Marina (Leah Harvey) is on the hunt to chasing her down. When a copycat killer threatens to expose Rhiannon, she’s forced to question whether AJ was right: is she a monster?

Shah will be playing Rhiannon’s romantic interest,Gabriel, with Greig starring as AJ’s mother, Liv. Taj Atwal (“Riot Women,” “Line of Duty”) will play Freya, Rhiannon’s formidable new boss at the Carnsham Gazette, while Jenny Walser (“Heartstopper,” “Star City”) plays Rhiannon’s new friend, Daisy.

“We are thrilled that “Sweetpea” and the world of Carnsham are back in full swing for Season 2, with new and exciting characters for what promises to be an intoxicating ride for Rhiannon as she continues on her murderous journey,” said Purnell, Ella Jones and Patrick Walters, who serve as executive producers on the series. “This season, the stakes are even higher, and as the consequences of her actions begin to close in, questions of morality and justice will come into play.”

Episodes 1, 5 and 6 of “Sweetpea” will be directed by Ella Jones (“Sweetpea” S1, “The Baby”), with Episodes 2, 3 and 4 will be directed by Coky Giedroyc (“How to Build a Girl,” “Save Me.”) The series is written by Selina Lim, Emme Hoy, Anna Jordan and Laura Jayne Tunbridge. “Sweetpea” is based on C.J. Skuse’s novel of the same name. The series is produced by See-Saw Films and fanboy in association with Sky Studios.

Muck Media, the production company behind “Trafficked with Mariana van Zeller” and “Science Fair: The Series,” has hired Yuna Ma as its new head of production.

“I am thrilled to be joining the team at Muck Media at this incredibly exciting time in their company,” Ma said in a statement. “I have long been an admirer of their films and series and the obvious passion that goes into their storytelling. I cannot wait to help expand on the great work they are doing.”

Ma is an Emmy-winning producer with experience overseeing documentary projects. Before joining Muck Media, Ma worked at Story Syndicate production company, where she was executive in charge of “Harry & Meghan, “One Night in Idaho,” “Sally” and other projects.

Darren Foster, director and co-founder of Muck Media, said, “Yuna has an incredible track record of leading big productions from development to delivery. She’s beloved by crews and trusted by networks, the perfect fit for us as we expand our slate and take on more ambitious projects. We’re fortunate to have Yuna on board as we gear up for new productions and a new podcast launching this fall. The timing couldn’t be better.”

Other projects produced by Muck Media are the multi-part series “Stanford Prison Experiment: Unlocking The Truth,” “We Can Be Heroes,” “American Pain,” “Menudo: Forever Young” and “Mucho Mucho Amor.”
