A source tells PEOPLE that Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas "had a great break together" during their recent getaway to Vermont, where the actress owns a home
De Armas "enjoyed being the host" and "loves spending time with Tom," the insider says
Now, the pair are focused on filming their upcoming supernatural ocean thriller Deeper, which will "have an intense shooting schedule, but they are ready," adds the source
Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas are back to work after their New England getaway.
A source tells PEOPLE that the pair "had a great break together in Vermont" recently, where de Armas, 37, owns a home and "enjoyed being the host."
"She loves spending time with Tom," the insider says, adding of their upcoming movie Deeper, "Now, they are still very focused on kicking off their new project together. It's a very important project for both of them. They'll have an intense shooting schedule, but they are ready."
Per the source, the From the World of John Wick: Ballerina actress "is both excited and nervous" about working with Cruise, 63, on Deeper, a supernatural ocean thriller directed by Doug Liman.
"It's her first time working with Tom and she wants to bring her best," the insider explains of de Armas. "She knows Tom has high standards on set, but she's ready for the challenge."

After photos of the Top Gun: Maverick actor and Blonde star holding hands while out and about on a weekend getaway in the Green Mountain State surfaced last week, a separate source said the two have “become incredibly close.”
"Ana loves Vermont. It's her place to rest and recharge," the insider told PEOPLE. "She was excited to host Tom and show him around. She took him to all her favorite spots."
Cruise was de Armas’ guest at a favorite bookstore in Woodstock, as well as Billings Farm & Museum, where the two Oscar nominees “were out and about, like our other visitors, visiting the garden," executive vice president Frances McLaughlin told PEOPLE.
And de Armas “really enjoys spending time with" Cruise, said the second source: “They've become incredibly close and Tom continues to be a huge support — both personally and professionally."

The Mission: Impossible star and Knives Out actress first sparked dating rumors in February, when they were photographed during a night out in London. A source said at the time that they "appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends."
De Armas and Cruise have since been spotted this summer sharing helicopter rides in England, more recently appearing on a boat in Spain and at an Oasis concert in London.

While the actors have not commented on their relationship, they have shared glowing words for one another's work in the media.
“Her ability is incredible,” Cruise praised de Armas at the New York City premiere of Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning in May. “There's an actress that has dramatic chops, someone who's comedic, very, very talented. You see her in Ballerina ... just a great actress."
In an Instagram clip posted that same month, the actor said that he saw Ballerina and it “kicks ass."
